Use a domain that is with another provider

If you want to keep the domain where it is, but connect it to a web hosting account with us, add it as an external domain.

1. Click Add domain and choose Use a domain from another provider.
2. Enter the domain.
3. Leave Also add the www name on if the website should also respond on the www address.
4. Click Add. You are taken straight to the domain page.

We do not manage DNS for an external domain. You add the DNS records yourself with the provider for each service you connect. If you would rather have us manage DNS, you can move DNS to us without transferring the domain itself. See DNS.
