Cancel a subscription
Subscriptions for domains, email, web hosting and licenses are canceled in writing to support@digiserv.no. Say which company and which service it concerns. We register the cancellation and send a confirmation by email with the dates that apply. The cancellation must come from the company that owns the subscription. If the service was bought through a reseller, the reseller cancels it.
The deadline and the end date
The cancellation deadline is 45 days before the next billing period starts. The end date is the last day of the period that's already been paid for, and the subscription is billed through that date.
- If the cancellation arrives later than 45 days before the next period, the subscription runs for one more period.
- If the subscription has a commitment period, the end date is no earlier than the last day of the commitment period.
- If a period has been paid in advance, the subscription runs until the end of that period.
The end date is in the confirmation. If you're not sure what it will be, ask us before you cancel.
What happens to the service
The service works as before until the end date and is shut off the day after. Seven days before the shutoff you get a reminder by email, and once the service has been shut off, you get a final email confirming it.
If you'd rather have the service shut off right away, say so in your cancellation. The subscription is still billed through the end date, and anything already invoiced isn't credited.
Once the service is shut off, it disappears from the control panel. The data stays with us for 30 days before it's permanently deleted. If you need more time to retrieve files, email or a database, contact us before the shutoff, and we'll extend the deadline.

When you cancel a domain, also say whether the domain should be deleted or transferred to another provider. A transfer must be completed before the end date.
Undo the cancellation
You can undo the cancellation by contacting us, right up until the data is deleted 30 days after the shutoff. The subscription then continues as before, and a service that's already been shut off is reopened. If you undo it after the end date, the subscription runs without interruption, and the time that has passed is included on the next invoice.
