A typical business website does just fine with small. If your site gets a lot of traffic, has an online store or runs many plugins, medium or large is a safer choice. You switch between small, medium and large yourself in the control panel, so it doesn't matter if you start too small.

Each site on Webhotell Pro runs in its own container with fixed memory and processing power: small has 1 GB of memory and one CPU, medium 2 GB and one CPU, large 4 GB and two CPUs, and extra large 8 GB and four CPUs. The staging environment runs in its own small container. Storage is the same regardless of size.

Yes. Every web hosting plan has a staging environment alongside the published site. That's where you try out changes before they go live, and you copy between the two in the control panel.

Each web hosting plan has 20 GB for files and 2 GB for databases, shared between the site and the staging environment. If you need more, you add 5 GB of files or 1 GB of database at a time. If you go over the limit, nothing gets shut down.
