Keep your number when you switch subscriptions

Number porting means you keep your mobile number when you switch subscriptions or carriers. We provide mobile subscriptions through Telenor, Unifon and Telavox, and all three support it.

The transfer usually takes one to three business days. On the day itself, the number is out of service for a few minutes while it's being moved.

What we need from you

  • The mobile number to be moved.
  • The name of the current subscription holder, exactly as registered with the carrier.
  • The date of birth or organization number on the current subscription.
  • Your current carrier.
  • Your preferred date, if you have one.

Send it to support@digiserv.no or call 38 27 80 00.

How it works

  1. You order a new subscription from us and give us the number.
  2. We send the porting request to your current carrier for you.
  3. The carrier confirms within one to three business days.
  4. On the porting day, the number is moved. If you have no signal after 15 minutes, turn your phone off and on again.
  5. The new SIM card is active with your old number.

Good to know

  • Contract term. If you're locked into a contract term with your current carrier, it may cost something to break it. Check before you order.
  • SIM card. You get a new SIM card from us. Don't throw away the old one until the transfer is confirmed. Our carriers also support eSIM on phones that have it.
  • Personal to business. No problem, but it requires a little more documentation.
  • Switching between our subscriptions. If you're moving from Telenor to Unifon, or upgrading, we sort it out internally without you having to do anything.
